The Lenawee Department on Aging would like to inform residents of a temporary disruption to meal services due to a water main break in Madison Township, which has impacted operations at our centralized kitchen.

At this time, all Senior Centers remain open and operating for activities and services, with the exception of Onsted and Tecumseh Senior Centers, which were already scheduled to be closed.

However, there will be no congregate meals served at any location, and home-delivered meals will not be available until the situation is resolved and kitchen operations can safely resume.

We encourage participants and clients to utilize the emergency meals that were previously provided for situations just like this. These shelf-stable meals are intended to ensure you continue to have access to food during unexpected service interruptions.

We understand how important these services are to our community and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this issue. Our team is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as normal meal service can be restored.
