Notice of Closeout


Lenawee County will conduct a closeout public hearing on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. in the Chambers of the Old Courthouse located at 301 N. Main Street, in Adrian, MI for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to submit comments and receive a final report on the completion of the Borchardt’s Market, LLC CDBG RLF loan project.  

Borchardt’s Market, LLC received a loan from Blissfield State Bank to purchase a vacant grocery store in Onsted, Michigan.  The Lenawee County CDBG RLF loan funds ($200,000) were used by Borchardt’s Market LLC to purchase inventory to restock the store.  In addition, Borchardt’s Market LLC provided equity for equipment upgrades and renovations.  The CDBG RLF loan project benefitted at least 51% low to moderate income persons. 

Interested parties are invited to comment on the project in person at the public hearing or in writing through July 11, 2017 and addressed to:

Citizen views and comments on the Borchardt’s Market, CDBG project are welcome.

Lenawee County will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting/hearing upon seven (7) days notice to Lenawee County.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Lenawee County Administrator’s Office by writing or calling:  Kim Murphy, 301 N.
