The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking recommendations for appointment of a veteran to serve as a committee member on their Executive Committee for a four (4) year term, ending December 31, 2020.

Requirements: A Lenawee County resident, a veteran who served honorably on active duty (other than for training purposes) during a period of war or during peacetime or who received an armed forces expeditionary/campaign medal or service medal.

Qualifications: Demonstrates knowledge, skills, and experience in public service, business, and/or finance. Familiar with community resources and financial assistance programs.

Recommendations must come through a veteran's service organization/post within the county. The nomination form and a copy of the veteran's DD Form 214 are due by December 1, 2016.
