Due to high winds and widespread power outages across Lenawee County, the Lenawee Department on Aging has closed all senior centers for the day on Friday, March 13, 2026.
As a result, no congregate meals or home-delivered meals will be provided today. Participants who receive home-delivered meals are encouraged to utilize the emergency meals that were previously provided for situations such as weather-related closures.
Daybreak Adult Day Service remains open and will continue operating for participants and caregivers who rely on the program.
The Lenawee Department on Aging made this decision out of an abundance of caution. The safety and well-being of both program participants and the dedicated volunteers who deliver meals throughout the county is always a top priority. With high winds creating hazardous travel conditions and power outages affecting parts of the community, closing centers and suspending meal delivery helps ensure everyone stays safe.
The Department on Aging appreciates the community’s understanding and encourages residents to stay safe as the severe weather continues.
