Lenawee Department of Veterans Affairs to Participate in Outreach Efforts
The Lenawee County Department of Veterans Affairs is proud to share information about an upcoming event honoring veterans and their families. On Sunday, July 20, 2025, the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit will visit Springbrook Commons in Blissfield (628 W. Adrian Street) from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This powerful traveling exhibit brings communities together to remember those who served, honor their sacrifices, and teach future generations about the cost of freedom. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore interactive exhibits, watch short films, and learn more about the mission behind Wreaths Across America.
As part of the event, the Lenawee Department of Veterans Affairs team will be on-site with our tent and resource table, sharing information about local services and connecting with veterans and their families. We look forward to meeting with community members, answering questions, and honoring the service of all who have worn the uniform.
The Mobile Education Exhibit also serves as an official "Welcome Home" station for Vietnam veterans through Wreaths Across America’s partnership with the United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.
This event is free and open to the public, and we encourage all veterans, active-duty military, families, and community members to attend and take part in this meaningful experience.
Blissfield’s participation in National Wreaths Across America Day has grown since it began seven years ago, thanks to the dedication of local volunteers. Each December, hundreds gather to lay wreaths on the graves of nearly 570 veterans across three local cemeteries.
If you’d like to support the local wreath program in Blissfield, you can sponsor a veteran’s wreath for $17 at www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/MI0181. This year’s National Wreaths Across America Day will take place on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
We hope to see you in Blissfield on July 20 as we come together to honor our heroes.
