ADRIAN, MI – Lenawee County is pleased to announce a streamlined process for scheduling vaccine appointments with the Lenawee County Health Department. As eligibility to receive a COVID-19 vaccine is available to more and more Lenawee County residents, our system for scheduling an appointment is now getting easier for our residents.
There is no longer a “pre-registration” process. Beginning, Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., and EVERY Tuesday thereafter at 9:00 a.m., you will be able to log onto the county website and schedule your vaccination appointment. Appointments will be filled on a first-come-first-serve basis. When scheduling your appointment, you will need to answer a series of questions, then select your appointment time. Be sure to print off your appointment registration form and take it with you to your appointment. The county run clinics are held in the Merchants Building at the Lenawee County Fairgrounds. Please stay in your vehicle until 5 minutes before your appointment.
If you do not have internet, or otherwise need assistance in scheduling your appointment, please call our vaccine hotline at (517) 264-4501 for assistance.
In addition to those that are currently eligible to receive the vaccine, beginning the week of March 22nd, we will be able to include: (1) individuals 16-49 with disabilities/pre-existing conditions; (2) the remaining essential workers not previously identified; and (3) those 50 and above.
All indications are that beginning the week of April 5th, we will be able to open up the vaccination clinics to everyone over the age of 16. See below for special instructions for those 16 to 18 years old.
Vaccine | Age | Schedule |
Pfizer | 16 years and older Must be accompanied by parent or guardian if under 18 years old | 2 dose | 21 days |
Moderna | 18 years and older | 2 dose | 28 days |
Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) | 18 years and older | 1 dose |
Please keep in mind that we are LIMITED in the amount of vaccine we are currently being provided by the State of Michigan. We are administering every dose of vaccine that we receive. We are currently receiving allocations averaging between 1000 and 1500 per week. At this rate, it will take us a while to get everyone vaccinated.
We will continue to make every effort to obtain additional vaccine so that we can vaccinate every Lenawee county resident that wishes to receive a vaccination.
