Three Additional Residents of Lenawee Medical Care Facility Test Positive for COVID-19

Three additional residents of Lenawee Medical Care Facility have tested positive for COVID- 19, bringing the total to five COVID-19 positive residents. All residents and employees have been and continue to be monitored for COVID-19 symptoms. Lenawee Medical Care Facility continues to work closely with the Lenawee County Health Department to ensure the safety of residents and staff.

This is an unfortunate reminder that COVID-19 is still active and we are seeing our most vulnerable residents impacted. We all must be mindful that traveling and gathering in groups comes with additional risk of exposure. Our actions impact others and this must be considered when choosing activities and travel plans.

The Lenawee County Health Department urges residents to practice prevention strategies to protect the most vulnerable members of our community such as; avoiding crowds, maintaining 6-feet of distance from others not of their household, wearing cloth face coverings when in enclosed public spaces and when outdoors if unable to maintain 6 feet of distance from nonhousehold members, washing hands frequently and staying home when sick.
