COVID-19 Positive Case Data

June 4, 2020 - The Lenawee County Health Department strives to provide accurate COVID-19 data to the community by updating our website daily. There are occasions when the data on the Lenawee County Health Department website differs from the data on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services website. Typically, these discrepancies are minor and usually are due to either out of state cases or cases from another county being assigned to Lenawee County. On June 3, 2020, the data regarding positive COVID-19 cases that was reported on the Lenawee County Health Department website differed substantially from the data reported on the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services website, 154 and 175 respectively. 

The data discrepancy was due to an electronic data transfer error from the laboratory to the State of Michigan. The Lenawee County Health Department has confirmed that the 21 positive cases that were reported yesterday on the State of Michigan website were due to the data transfer error and do not accurately reflect the number of positive COVID-19 cases in Lenawee County. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is working to resolve the issue. The Lenawee County Health Department will report 155 confirmed positive COVID-19 cases today, which is an increase of one from yesterday.
