The last few weeks have been difficult as we have navigated the changes to our lives that are necessary to combat the global novel coronavirus pandemic. Many things have changed and our lives are far from what most of us consider normal. For those abiding by the Stay Home, Stay Safe order, you can take pride in knowing that you have helped to control a global pandemic. Please know your efforts are making a difference in slowing the spread of this virus.
As we move through the coming days, some will be tempted to gather with family and friends to celebrate Easter and carry out family traditions such as attending church services, egg hunts and family meals. Ideally, we would all be physically together, but we all must resist the urge to gather together and continue to stay physically separate from those who do not live in our homes.
Please know that we share your disappointment in not being able to carry out our Easter traditions and activities, however, we know the responsible choice this year is not to gather with individuals that do not live in our homes.
Maybe this will be the year that we start a new Easter tradition, or maybe connect with family and friends through video calling or a Zoom meeting. Whatever option you choose to connect with family and friends this year, please make a choice to be physically separate from individuals who do not live in your home.
