Lead is a soft, malleable and heavy post-transition metal that occurs naturally in the earth's crust. It can be found in lead-based paint, dust and soil. Too much exposure to lead can cause behavior problems, low IQ and poor grades in school, hearing problems, learning difficulties, growth delays and persistent tiredness or hyperactivity. Here are some ways to help prevent your child from lead poisoning:
