[ARCHIVED] Lead in Lenawee County

lead poisoning

Did you know that funding is available for free lead inspections and remediation? Lead is a naturally occurring metal that can be found in dust, soil, and lead-based paint. Too much exposure to lead can cause behavior problems, low IQ and poor grades in school, hearing problems, learning difficulties, growth delays, and persistent tiredness or hyperactivity. If you live in a home built before 1978, you are at a higher risk of lead exposure. For some ways to protect your child from lead poisoning, visit: http://www.cdc.gov/nceh/lead/tips.htm
