Caregiving is a journey filled with meaningful moments, but it can also bring emotional and mental challenges. The Lenawee Department on Aging invites caregivers to take time for themselves and connect with others at the next Caregiver Support Group meeting on Monday, March 2 at 2:00 PM at Daybreak.
This month’s session, “The Power of Journaling as a Caregiver,” will be facilitated by Kathy Johnston Betzoldt, M.A., L.P.C. Participants will explore how simple journaling practices can help reduce stress, process emotions, and create space for reflection. Whether you’re new to writing or have kept journals for years, this supportive discussion will offer practical ideas and encouragement you can use right away.
Caregiver Support Group meetings provide a welcoming environment where individuals can share experiences, gain helpful tools, and build connections with others who understand the caregiving role.
Respite care is available during the meeting so caregivers can attend with peace of mind. To reserve respite care, please call 517-266-2588 in advance.
If you provide care for a loved one, you are not alone. Join us March 2 to recharge, reflect, and discover how putting pen to paper can support your caregiving journey.
