Public Health Order 2021-2 Requiring Employee Health Screening is Rescinded

Residents Encouraged to Follow Recommendations and Get Vaccinated

June 23, 2021

Public Health Order (Lenawee 2021-2), which required employee health screening at businesses in Lenawee County has been rescinded. While screening employees for symptoms of COVID-19 and any known close contact to a COVID-19 positive individual is no longer required, it is still critical that employers do not allow individuals to work when they are sick or if they have been in close contact with a COVID-19 positive individual.

It is very encouraging that the number of new COVID-19 cases is declining and restrictions are being lifted. Residents are encouraged to follow the face mask recommendations from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) as we resume activities. Residents are also encouraged to make their plan to receive their COVID-19 vaccination if they have not yet been vaccinated or if they still need their second dose. Information regarding the many vaccination opportunities in Lenawee County can be found HERE.
