D/Sgt. Lamar Rufner goes above and beyond his call as a police officer and has compassion for all victims he deals with.  D/Sgt. Rufner recently acted quickly on and stopped a perpetrator from luring teenage girls into using snapchat for the suspect's sexual gratification.  Due to D/Sgt. Rufner's thorough investigation, he was able to help other states that the perpetrator was acting in the same manner.    The suspect was sentenced to 60-120 months to the Michigan Department of Corrections.  

Officer Shawn Sandy's attention to duty and regard for human and was recognized for his recent actions taken to life during an attempted murder incident.   He was able to apprehend the suspect and get the situation under control safely and effectively.  Whereby potentially saving the lives of three family members; including the suspect. 

Congratulations to both D/Sgt. Lamar Rufner and Officer Shawn Sandy for being recognized with the 2019 Crime Victim Service Award!
