Lenawee County is accepting board appointment applications and letters of interest from individuals interested in serving on the Lenawee County Commission representing District 2.  District 2 is comprised of the townships of Cambridge, Rome and Woodstock, and the villages or portions of villages included in those townships.  Board Appointment Applications are available in the GOVERNMENT section of the County website.

The vacancy in this commission district exists due to the recent passing of Commissioner Jack Branch on November 17, 2014.  State statute requires the Board of Commissioners to appoint a replacement, from registered voters within the commission district, within 30 days of the vacancy.  This appointment will fill the vacancy in the term ending December 31, 2014.

Interested parties are requested to submit a completed board appointment application and letter of interest to the County Administrator’s Office by 4:00 pm on December 5, 2014.  The County Commission will discuss this appointment at their Rules and Appointments meeting on December 9, 2014 at 10:00 am.
